This addition allows Tesla drivers to clean their vehicles while charging, enhancing convenience and making better use of charging time. The site also benefits from a solar canopy and a lounge area, further improving the overall user experience. The vacuum cleaner installation marks a notable step in evolving the amenities offered at electric vehicle charging points. The new facility was first spotted and shared by Tesla enthusiast Warren W, who praised the idea as a clever way to maximise time during charging sessions. The post sparked curiosity and positive reactions within the Tesla community, with owners expressing interest in the location and welcoming the enhanced service. This move aligns with Tesla’s broader strategy of adding unique features to its Supercharger stations globally, which have previously included amenities such as swimming pools, pizza vending machines, and air compressors for tyre inflation. Tesla’s Supercharger network remains one of the largest worldwide, with over 80,000 charging stalls, including more than 1,000 bays across 153 sites in Australia alone. The network has expanded rapidly in recent years, growing by over 40% in the country during the last two years, supported by government co-funding and increasing EV adoption. New sites in Perth and Melbourne have added 12 V4 Supercharger stalls, reflecting Tesla’s commitment to improving charging infrastructure beyond traditional urban centres.
