Source partners with Radius to expand EV charging access for UK fleet drivers

Source, a leading EV charging provider, has formed a partnership with business mobility firm Radius to enhance access to fast electric vehicle charging for UK and Irish fleet drivers. This collaboration enables Radius cardholders to use Source’s DC fast charging hubs without the need for additional accounts or apps, streamlining the charging process. The integration allows fleet managers to monitor and consolidate charging costs through Radius’s Velocity management platform, simplifying expense tracking and operational oversight. Source is committed to expanding its network significantly, with plans to open 300 fast charging hubs across the UK and Ireland by 2030. Each charging station offers a minimum power output of 150 kW, ensuring rapid charging capabilities for fleet vehicles. The chargers are powered entirely by renewable energy, utilising technology from TotalEnergies and infrastructure support from SSE, reflecting a strong emphasis on sustainability within the network. Representatives from both companies highlighted the benefits of the partnership for fleet operators and drivers. Alice Aprile-Smith, Head of Partnerships and Business Development at Source, emphasised the seamless experience for Radius cardholders, who can charge their vehicles at Source hubs without disruption to their usual routines. Andy Higgins, EV Network Manager at Radius, noted that the collaboration strengthens Radius’s EV network by providing strategically located fast charging options along key routes, facilitating convenient long-distance travel for fleets. The partnership represents a significant step towards improving the UK’s EV infrastructure for commercial fleets, addressing the growing demand for accessible and efficient charging solutions. By integrating their services, Source and Radius aim to support the transition to electric mobility in business contexts, enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability.
