PositivEnergy to install 435 public EV charging ports in Philadelphia

PositivEnergy is set to significantly expand Philadelphia’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure by installing approximately 435 public DC fast charging and Level 2 ports throughout the city. This initiative builds on the company’s established Charging-as-a-Service model, which provides municipalities and commercial entities with turnkey solutions for deploying EV charging networks. PositivEnergy’s approach combines hardware, software, and supporting infrastructure such as battery energy storage systems, aiming to deliver reliable and user-friendly charging experiences. A key feature of PositivEnergy’s strategy is its proprietary PositivAssess platform, which analyses potential sites to identify optimal locations for charging stations, thereby minimising the risk of underutilised assets. The company is a Sourcewell-certified vendor, recognised for its expertise in EV charging infrastructure and fleet electrification, and has a track record of delivering projects for a diverse range of clients including airports, universities, and sports stadiums. Notable deployments include installations at Raleigh-Durham International Airport, Duke University, and Inter Miami CF Stadium.
