Geely offers low finance rate and free charger with EX5 extended range model

Geely has extended and enhanced its sales incentives for the EX5 Extended Range electric SUV, offering a 0.88% comparison rate finance deal over 36 months alongside a complimentary home charger for eligible purchases. This latest offer builds on earlier promotions, including a $2,500 cashback and finance package, aiming to sustain interest in the model which now boasts an improved WLTP range of up to 475 kilometres, an increase from the previous 430 km figure. The deal applies to new, in-stock EX5 vehicles bought before 30 June 2026, although the free home charger does not include installation. The EX5 Extended Range is equipped with a 68 kWh Lithium-Iron-Phosphate battery pack, enabling rapid charging capabilities of 100 kW DC, allowing a 30-80% charge in approximately 20 minutes. It also supports 11 kW AC charging for three-phase power users and includes vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality, enhancing its versatility. Since its launch in March 2025, the EX5 has become one of the best-selling electric vehicles in the Australian market, with over 5,000 units sold and ranking among the top five EVs in 2025. Geely’s broader strategy includes plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup locally, with the upcoming EX2 hatchback—a model that has already achieved significant success in China—and a larger electric SUV recently unveiled in the Chinese market. The company also showcased China’s first purpose-built Robotaxi at Auto China 2026, signalling its ambitions in autonomous and shared mobility sectors. These developments reflect Geely’s commitment to growing its presence and competitiveness amid intensifying market competition, particularly as new EV models are set to launch in Australia.
