Chanani launches new venture to develop EV charging hubs across Southern California
Summary By: eMotoX
Chanani Group, a family-owned real estate development and management company, has announced the launch of CM EV Services, a new initiative aimed at expanding electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure throughout Southern California. The company has partnered with Motive Energy’s Sustainable Solutions division, a US-based solar and energy infrastructure provider, to serve as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) partner for its initial projects. This collaboration will also ensure ongoing system integration and operational support for the new charging hubs.
The first phase of CM EV Services’ rollout includes three EV charging hubs currently under development in Torrance, California. Each site will feature four high-speed charging ports capable of delivering around 240 kW per port, offering rapid charging options for EV drivers. These installations mark a significant step towards enhancing the region’s public charging network and supporting the growing demand for accessible and efficient EV infrastructure.
Beyond public charging, Chanani Group is also working with Motive Energy to integrate solar power and EV charging systems at the Bluestem Hotel, a property within its hospitality and commercial portfolio. This initiative reflects a broader commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development, combining clean power generation with advanced EV charging solutions. The integration of solar energy at commercial sites highlights the potential for reducing carbon footprints while meeting the needs of electric vehicle users.
The launch of CM EV Services positions Chanani Group as a key player in Southern California’s transition to cleaner transportation and energy solutions. With Motive Energy’s expertise backing the engineering and operational aspects, the venture is well-placed to contribute to the region’s EV infrastructure growth. Looking ahead, the success of these initial projects could pave the way for further expansion of EV charging networks and renewable energy integration across the company’s real estate holdings.
