XPENG made a significant impact at Auto China 2026 by unveiling a comprehensive suite of new products and technologies that underscore its commitment to Physical AI and intelligent mobility. The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer showcased several new models, including the GX, MONA M03, the next iteration of the P7, and the X9. Beyond vehicles, XPENG introduced its next-generation humanoid robot, IRON, and a flying car dubbed the “Land Aircraft Carrier,” highlighting its ambition to integrate AI across diverse mobility platforms. Central to XPENG’s presentation was the launch of its VLA 2.0 intelligent driving system, accompanied by the release of its first detailed performance report. The data revealed strong consumer engagement, with nearly 100,000 test drive participants and a 98% satisfaction rate. The system has notably influenced purchasing decisions, contributing to a 118% month-on-month increase in orders for the Ultra series. XPENG also announced upcoming features such as Campus and Underground Parking Safari, designed to enhance autonomous driving capabilities in challenging environments like low light and unmarked roads. He Xiaopeng, XPENG’s Chairman and CEO, emphasised the company’s evolution from smart electric vehicles to a broader Physical AI ecosystem that includes flying cars, humanoid robots, and Robotaxi technology. He highlighted the importance of intelligent driving not just in terms of technical capability but also in improving user experience by delivering greater efficiency and comfort. The GX vehicle, presented as China’s first fully in-house developed Robotaxi prototype for mass production, exemplifies this vision with its powerful computing platform and purpose-built architecture for Level 4 autonomy. XPENG’s growth trajectory is further illustrated by its overseas sales, which grew by 96% year-on-year in 2025, making it the leading Chinese new energy vehicle startup in international markets.
