2026 Volvo EX30 Cross Country – High-riding EV, now with better price

Volvo has introduced a revised pricing strategy for the 2026 EX30 Cross Country, its smallest electric SUV, reducing the entry price from $69,990 to $62,990 before on-road costs. The EX30 Cross Country is a sportier, adventure-oriented variant of the EX30, distinguished by its 19mm higher ride height, rugged styling elements such as black wheel arch extensions, and skid plates. This version is equipped exclusively with a dual-motor powertrain delivering 315 kW and 543 Nm, enabling an impressive 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.7 seconds, making it one of the quickest vehicles in its price segment. The vehicle’s performance is complemented by a 69 kWh Nickel-Manganese-Cobalt battery pack, which offers an official WLTP range of up to 427 km. Real-world testing revealed consumption figures between 18 and 20.5 kWh/100 km depending on driving conditions, with charging made convenient by a thoughtfully positioned port on the left side of the car. The EX30 Cross Country also benefits from Volvo’s refined autonomous driving system, which operates smoothly on highways, managing speed, lane changes, and bends with minimal driver intervention. Inside, the EX30 Cross Country features a minimalist cabin with a 12.3-inch vertically mounted touchscreen running Google’s software, including built-in apps and Wireless Apple CarPlay.
