Vennekens shows speed during ADAC opener in Grevenbroich

Nicolas Vennekens of VNT Racing showcased impressive speed during the opening round of the ADAC Masters season in Grevenbroich, despite encountering a difficult weekend. He qualified 25th, ensuring his participation in the races, but faced significant challenges during the motos. Early crashes in the first and third races saw him relegated to the back of the pack, forcing him to mount a recovery effort from the rear. Despite these setbacks, Vennekens demonstrated strong pace in the initial stages of both races, consistently posting lap times within the top 15 during the first twenty minutes. This performance highlighted his potential and speed, even though he struggled to maintain this momentum throughout the entirety of the races. A decline in pace during the latter stages was attributed in part to his current physical condition, which is not yet at full strength. The weekend’s mixed results nevertheless offer encouraging signs for Vennekens and his team. His evident speed provides a solid foundation to build upon as the season progresses, particularly once he regains full fitness. With further development and improved physical readiness, Vennekens is expected to be a more consistent contender in the forthcoming rounds of the ADAC Masters.
