Belgian twin brothers Lucas and Sacha Coenen are reportedly set to make their AMA Pro Motocross debut at the Thunder Valley National in Lakewood on June 13. This development was revealed by American journalist Steve Matthes, who indicated that the siblings could appear in the highly competitive American outdoor series. Lucas, currently leading the MXGP world championship after five rounds with two Grand Prix wins, and Sacha, sitting second in the MX2 standings, are both enjoying strong seasons in their respective classes. The Coenen brothers’ potential entry into the AMA Pro Motocross circuit has sparked significant interest, especially given their impressive performances in Europe. While only Thunder Valley has been specifically mentioned, sources suggest they may participate in up to four races later this season. Last year, similar rumours surfaced but did not come to fruition, making this season’s speculation particularly noteworthy. The possibility of the Coenens racing in the United States aligns with their long-term ambitions, as they have expressed interest in competing stateside.
