Filthy Phil back for VMXdN

Phil Nicoletti, known affectionately as "Filthy Phil," is set to return to the VMXdN event at Hawkstone Park this August, albeit in a slightly different role. Having first competed in the 2025 VMXdN as part of the winning American team, Nicoletti will now race in the Evo Ultra class while also contributing to the commentary team for the International team race. After a successful campaign last year, he is keen to enjoy the event without the pressure of defending his number one plate, seeking a more relaxed experience away from the intense scrutiny of the American fanbase. Nicoletti’s background is impressive, with a decade of competition in AMA Supercross and Outdoor Nationals, alongside a recent Canadian National championship. Now retired from full-time racing, he serves as a brand ambassador for FXR, a key sponsor of the VMXdN. For the upcoming race, he will pilot a meticulously prepared 2005 YZ 250, featuring a full Pro Circuit motor package and enhanced suspension, built by DocWob. His trusted mechanic, Richie Brown, will also be on hand to ensure the bike’s performance, with the build process set to be showcased on an upcoming episode of DocWob TV.
