NEWS: YT DECOY X Core – Avinox for everyone?

YT has expanded its DECOY X electric mountain bike range with the introduction of four new CORE models, all equipped with the Avinox M2S drive system. These new variants aim to deliver high performance at more accessible price points, starting from €4,499 for the entry-level CORE 1. Each bike features a robust aluminium frame, MX wheel setup with 170mm front and 160mm rear travel, and an 800Wh battery, maintaining the DECOY X’s focus on trail and bike park capabilities rather than lightweight compromises. The CORE range offers a spectrum of specifications to suit different rider needs and budgets. The CORE 1 provides a durable and straightforward setup with components from SRAM, WTB, and Marzocchi suspension, ideal for riders seeking reliability. Moving up, the CORE 2 incorporates a FOX 38 Performance fork and a FOX DHX Performance coil shock, targeting those who demand greater suspension performance for aggressive riding. The CORE 3 and CORE 4 models feature premium suspension components from RockShox and FOX Factory respectively, alongside high-end drivetrains and brakes, catering to riders looking for top-tier handling and control. YT emphasises that the DECOY X CORE series is designed to withstand tough conditions, with extensive frame protection and a sturdy aluminium build intended for heavy use on rough terrain. The inclusion of the Avinox M2S motor, delivering up to 150Nm of torque and 1,300 watts peak power, combined with large batteries, ensures that these bikes offer substantial power and range for gravity-focused riding.
