The LOOK G85 Cezal – Fast & Playful Gravel Bike With Real Race Intent

LOOK has unveiled the G85 Cezal, a new carbon gravel bike designed to strike a balance between speed and versatility. With a UD HM carbon frame and fork, the bike offers gravel-specific geometry and features such as full internal cable routing and integrated downtube storage. It accommodates both 700c and 650b wheels, supports 1x or 2x drivetrains, and allows up to 60mm of front suspension travel without altering its geometry. This broad compatibility positions the G85 Cezal as a flexible option for riders seeking a single bike capable of handling everything from fast racing to adventurous off-road rides. The geometry of the G85 Cezal emphasises a blend of responsiveness and stability. A short wheelbase and chainstays contribute to quick handling and agile cornering, while a 70-degree head angle and 50mm trail provide a slack but playful front end. The seat tube angle and offset seatpost are designed to keep riders centred for efficient pedalling, and the frame’s stack and reach support a range of riding positions, from comfortable endurance setups to more aggressive race stances. This combination results in a bike that feels lively and composed across varied terrain. Despite LOOK’s strong roots in road racing, the G85 Cezal incorporates thoughtful gravel-specific details rather than simply adapting a road frame. It features a T47 bottom bracket, UDH dropout, compatibility with 160mm disc rotors, and a 27.2mm seatpost, all tailored for mixed-surface use. The stock cockpit includes a LOOK LS3 stem and Deda Superzero Gravel handlebars, with an optional aero carbon stem and bar combo available for riders seeking a more race-oriented setup. The integrated downtube storage box is a practical addition, providing space for essential tools and snacks, which enhances the bike’s usability on longer rides. The G85 Cezal has already demonstrated its race potential, with rider Russell Finsterwald securing victory at the Belgian Waffle Ride in early 2026 aboard a production version of the bike. This early success suggests the model’s competitiveness in demanding gravel events. LOOK is launching the G85 Cezal in three complete builds, ranging from a high-end SRAM Force 1x13 setup priced at €6,490 to a more affordable Shimano GRX 1x12 mechanical version at €3,490, alongside a frameset option for €2,490. This range caters to riders with varying budgets and performance preferences, reinforcing the G85 Cezal’s role as a versatile gravel platform.
