1UP USA has unveiled the RakAttach XL, an enhanced version of their popular swing-away rack, at the 2026 Sea Otter Classic. This new model addresses a common issue with the original RakAttach, where some trucks struggled to fully open their tailgates due to the rack’s size. The RakAttach XL is both wider and more robust, capable of supporting up to 375lbs—an increase of 100lbs over the previous version—making it a substantial upgrade for users needing to carry heavier loads. A key feature of the RakAttach XL is its integrated Support Jack, designed to provide additional stability when the rack is loaded. The jack stows neatly above the swing adapter and can be deployed quickly, with a pin-based height adjustment system and a knob for fine-tuning support. The swing itself pivots up to 90 degrees to either side, allowing unobstructed access to the rear of the vehicle. The rack is engineered for use with a 2-inch receiver and incorporates 1UP USA’s signature wedge-style anti-wobble system, ensuring a secure fit and minimal movement during transit. Alongside the RakAttach XL, 1UP USA also showcased new 32-inch wheel adaptors aimed at accommodating larger bike wheels on existing racks. These modular adaptors resemble a taller iteration of the brand’s Quik Slide system and are compatible with a wider range of 1UP racks. Although pricing and availability details are yet to be confirmed, the adaptors are expected to be similarly priced to the Quik Slide, offering a practical upgrade for riders investing in larger bikes. The RakAttach XL is priced at $899 and comes with a comprehensive package including a custom ratchet wrench, a 5/8-inch locking hitch pin, mounting hardware, and a one-year warranty. An easy-to-follow instruction manual is also included to assist with installation.
