State Bicycle Co. Launches Fully Aero, Fully Affordable, Sub-$3k Complete Carbon Road Bike

State Bicycle Co. has expanded its range with the launch of a fully aero, complete carbon road bike priced under $3,000, making high-performance carbon bikes more accessible to a broader audience. Building on the success of its previously released carbon frameset, which retailed for under $1,400 and sold out rapidly, the new offering includes complete builds starting at $2,799. This move positions State Bicycle Co. as a competitive player in the affordable carbon road bike market, delivering race-level technology at a significantly lower price point than is typically available. The new Carbon Road Complete bike is designed with a focus on aerodynamic efficiency, lightweight construction, and practical usability for everyday road cycling. It is available in two frame layups: Standard and SL, allowing riders to choose based on performance needs and budget. The Standard build starts at $2,800, while the SL version, which saves approximately one pound in weight, begins at $3,250. Both versions feature geometry and frame construction that have been proven in competitive racing scenarios, including demanding climbs, ensuring the bike’s capability and reliability. Key specifications include fully internal cable routing, compatibility with tyres up to 32mm, a T47 threaded bottom bracket, and a UDH-compatible derailleur hanger. The Standard and SL builds come equipped with a SRAM Rival eTap AXS 2x drivetrain, with Enve wheels available as an upgrade. The frame is offered in several colour options, including Panda Pearl and Midnight Blue for the Standard layup, and Raw Carbon for the SL version. Weights for a medium-sized frame are approximately 18.5lb for the Standard and 17.5lb for the SL.
