SRAM and BESPOKED Announce 4th Annual Inclusivity Scholarship At BESPOKED Dresden

SRAM and BESPOKED have announced the return of their Inclusivity Scholarship for the fourth consecutive year, aimed at promoting diversity within the handmade cycling community. The scholarship offers the recipient a unique opportunity to exhibit at BESPOKED Dresden 2026, one of the world’s leading handmade bicycle shows. Alongside exhibition space, the winner will receive SRAM components, financial support, and mentorship to help develop and showcase their work, providing valuable exposure in the niche framebuilding industry. BESPOKED has been a prominent platform for independent framebuilders and cycling innovators since its inception in 2011, hosting events across London, Dresden, and Osaka. The Inclusivity Scholarship was introduced in 2022 as a collaborative effort between SRAM and BESPOKED to address the lack of representation within the cycling sector. The initiative encourages applicants who feel underrepresented or marginalised in the industry, regardless of their background or experience, to apply and share their stories and craftsmanship. Petor Georgallou, Director of BESPOKED, emphasises that the scholarship is designed to broaden access and visibility for diverse talents, rather than setting rigid criteria on who belongs in the cycling world. The programme recognises that confidence and opportunity are not always equally distributed and seeks to create a more inclusive environment by supporting those who may have previously questioned their place in the industry. Previous recipients, such as Sarah Salitter and Christopher Schmidt, have benefited from the platform to gain recognition and develop their careers. The scholarship package includes not only exhibition space and SRAM components but also financial assistance for accommodation and dedicated promotional support across BESPOKED and SRAM channels. Additionally, recipients receive mentorship from experienced professionals, helping them prepare for the event and navigate the industry. Applications for the 2026 Inclusivity Scholarship opened on 1 June and will close on 25 June, with successful candidates notified by 1 July.
