Spot Bikes Introduces the Diggity 125 Trail Bike With Living Link Suspension

Spot Bikes has unveiled the Diggity 125, a new trail bike featuring the brand’s distinctive Living Link suspension system. This marks the tenth model to utilise Spot’s patented design, now in its third generation. The Diggity 125 is a full carbon, 29-inch wheeled bike with 125mm of rear travel paired with a 140mm fork, aimed at delivering a balanced, lightweight ride that offers both agility and descending capability. The bike is designed to provide riders with a responsive, connected feel on the trail, emphasising energetic pop and precise handling. Central to the Diggity 125 is the refined third-generation Living Link suspension, which incorporates a titanium leaf spring at the main pivot. This unique setup allows for a low breakaway force at the start of travel, a linear mid-stroke, and increased bottom-out support, enhancing both pedalling efficiency and traction. Spot has optimised the suspension kinematics to maintain strong anti-squat characteristics within the sag range, reducing the need for shock lockouts. This bespoke suspension design highlights Spot’s commitment to developing proprietary technology rather than licensing existing systems. The frame incorporates several innovative features, including the Slaybar architecture—a truss-like tube between the seat tube and downtube—which distributes loads evenly and reduces material use, contributing to a lightweight frame weight of 5.3lbs (size large, without shock). Spot’s SprockLock pivot axles simplify maintenance with a splined mechanical interlock system, and the bike includes six identical Enduro dual-row bearings housed in the links for durability. Additional practical touches include generous tyre clearance, internal cable routing with interchangeable ports, and custom rubber protection on vulnerable frame areas. Geometry-wise, the Diggity 125 is designed to strike a balance between efficiency and capability, featuring a 65.2-degree head angle, 435mm chainstays, and a steepening seat tube angle that varies with frame size. Reach measurements range from 415mm on small frames to 505mm on extra-large, reflecting contemporary trail bike proportions aimed at lively handling and confident descending. Spot offers the Diggity 125 as a frameset or in three complete builds, with pricing starting at $3,799 for the frame and shock, and the top-tier 6-Star build featuring premium components for $9,299.
