OMNIUM and Cinelli Team Up for Limited Edition Supercargo Bike
Summary By: eMotoX
OMNIUM and Cinelli have collaborated to produce a limited-edition cargo bike, the OMNIUM x Cinelli Supercargo, blending the strengths of both brands. OMNIUM, known for its lightweight and precise cargo bikes, and Cinelli, a historic Italian road bike manufacturer, have created just 120 units of this unique model. The bike features a distinctive Azzurro Laser blue paint, inspired by Cinelli’s classic Laser track bike, symbolising a fusion of Italian cycling heritage with OMNIUM’s functional design.
The Supercargo is designed to be a high-performance cargo hauler, capable of carrying heavy loads quickly and efficiently. Its frame is crafted from double-butted chromoly steel with Columbus tubing, available in three sizes (S, M, L), and each frame is individually numbered. The bike is equipped with a SRAM Apex 11-speed drivetrain, SRAM Level TL brakes, and OMNIUM’s chrome cranks, complemented by full coverage silver fenders and chrome detailing. Weighing approximately 20kg in medium size, the front rack can support up to 75kg, making it a robust option for urban cargo transport.
This partnership also coincides with the Cycle Messenger World Championships held in Milan, Cinelli’s home city, where the Supercargo will be showcased. Both companies have strong ties to the messenger community, with OMNIUM’s roots in Copenhagen’s courier scene and Cinelli’s longstanding influence on Italian cycling culture. Victor Luis, Cinelli’s chairman, emphasised the shared passion and friendship between the two teams, highlighting the collaboration as a promising beginning for future projects.
Priced at €3,500 for the complete bike or €1,800 for the frame kit, the limited run is expected to sell out quickly due to its exclusivity and appeal. Alongside the bike, OMNIUM and Cinelli have launched a range of limited-edition apparel and accessories, including messenger bags, cycling caps, and t-shirts, further celebrating the collaboration. Interested buyers can find more information and make purchases through the official Cinelli and OMNIUM websites.
