Mondraker Re-Enters the Dirt Jump Market With the All-New KOAZ

Mondraker has re-entered the dirt jump market with the launch of the all-new KOAZ, a bike designed specifically for dirt jumps, pump tracks, and skate parks. The KOAZ emphasises creative riding and self-expression, aligning with Mondraker’s distinctive design language. Available in two frame sizes, the bike offers a straightforward setup with one complete build option or as a frameset, catering to riders seeking simplicity and performance. The KOAZ frame is constructed from 6061-T6 Stealth Alloy Evo with hydroformed tubing, featuring Mondraker’s signature “stiffness link” brace at the head tube junction to enhance steering precision and handling responsiveness. The frame incorporates a “split-forged” bottom bracket shell to improve stiffness and fatigue resistance, which is crucial for absorbing the impacts typical of dirt jumping. Designed exclusively for single-speed drivetrains, the bike includes adjustable sliding dropouts with integrated brake mounts for easy chain tension and brake alignment adjustments, and it accommodates 26-inch wheels with 10 x 135mm rear axle spacing. In terms of geometry, the KOAZ offers two frame sizes with a 25mm difference in reach, measuring 415mm for medium and 440mm for large, maintaining consistent angles suited for aggressive dirt jump riding. The complete build features high-quality components such as a RockShox Pike DJ fork with 100mm travel, SRAM Truvativ Descendant cranks, DT Swiss wheels, Maxxis DTH tyres, and a SRAM DB8 four-piston rear brake, all contributing to a robust and reliable package. Priced at £1,999 for the complete bike and £629 for the frameset, the KOAZ is available exclusively in a Superblack colourway and is now on sale through Mondraker’s website and authorised dealers.
