Mondraker has re-entered the dirt jump market with the launch of the all-new KAOZ, a bike designed specifically for dirt jumps, pump tracks, and skate parks. This latest model continues the brand’s recent momentum in producing innovative mountain bikes, offering riders a playful and creative platform. The KAOZ is available in two frame sizes and can be purchased either as a complete build or as a frameset, catering to different rider preferences and customisation needs. The KAOZ frame is constructed from 6061-T6 Stealth Alloy Evo with hydroformed tubing, featuring Mondraker’s distinctive design elements such as the “stiffness link” brace at the head tube junction. This addition aims to enhance frame rigidity, improving steering precision and handling responsiveness—key attributes for the demands of dirt jumping. The bike employs a “split-forged” bottom bracket shell to maximise stiffness and fatigue resistance, ensuring durability under the intense forces of hard landings. It is built for simplicity, supporting only single-speed drivetrains with adjustable sliding dropouts that maintain chain tension and brake alignment. Geometry-wise, the KAOZ offers a medium and large frame size, differentiated by a 25mm reach difference, with both sizes sharing consistent angles and measurements optimised for dirt jump riding. The frame is designed around 26-inch wheels with 10 x 135mm rear axle spacing and features Silent Core internal routing for the brake line, which is extended to accommodate tricks such as bar spins and tailwhips. This thoughtful design highlights Mondraker’s focus on functionality and rider experience. The complete KAOZ build is priced at £1,999 and includes premium components such as a RockShox Pike DJ fork with 100mm travel, SRAM Truvativ Descendant cranks, DT Swiss wheels, and a SRAM DB8 four-piston rear brake. The frameset alone is available for £629, offering an accessible entry point for riders looking to customise their setup. The bike is currently offered in a single Superblack colourway and is available to order now through Mondraker’s website and authorised dealers.
