Look has introduced the Geo City Vision pedals, a new addition to their range of commuter-friendly cycling components. These flat pedals incorporate rechargeable LED lights within the pedal platforms, designed to enhance rider visibility during night-time urban commutes. The spinning motion of the pedals creates dynamic lighting, which Look claims offers visibility up to 5.5 times greater than traditional steady seatpost lights, significantly improving safety for cyclists in low-light conditions. The Geo City Vision pedals build on the technology first seen in Look’s Keo Vision clip-in road pedals, adapting the smart, removable LED lighting system for use in flat commuter pedals. These new pedals are lighter, thinner, and priced about a third lower than their predecessors, while maintaining a bright 40-lumen output. Riders can choose from four lighting modes, including steady and flashing options suitable for various times of day and visibility needs, with a runtime ranging from 15 to 60 hours depending on the mode.
