Reigning time trial World Champion Marlen Reusser has offered a tantalising glimpse of what appears to be a prototype for Canyon’s next-generation Speedmax TT bike. Posting a photo on Instagram, Reusser is seen riding a camouflaged bike that features a distinctive dazzle paint scheme, a common tactic used by manufacturers to conceal new designs during early testing phases. As the current Speedmax CFR TT was instrumental in Reusser’s world title victory last year, this new model is expected to represent a significant step forward in Canyon’s time trial technology. Although the camouflage obscures many details, several notable design changes are visible. The fork crown appears wider and more integrated into the head tube than on the existing Speedmax, drawing comparisons to the aero-focused Factor Hanzo and Factor One road bikes. The seat post also features a more pronounced aerofoil shape that sits flush with the frame, suggesting a strong emphasis on aerodynamic efficiency. Additionally, the seat tube and top tube junction hints at a forward cluster design reminiscent of the Cervélo P5, indicating Canyon may be exploring new approaches to airflow management around the rider. Interestingly, the prototype does not seem to borrow heavily from Canyon’s track bike designs, a route many manufacturers have taken in recent TT bike development.
