Giro Unveils Eight New and Updated Road, Gravel, and MTB Shoes at Sea Otter

Giro has unveiled a comprehensive range of eight new and updated cycling shoes across road, gravel, and mountain bike disciplines at the Sea Otter event. The lineup includes three revamped road models designed to replace the outgoing low to mid-range options, alongside five new off-road shoes that cater to gravel, trail, and all-mountain riding. The brand aims to unify the design language across its road and off-road collections while offering a variety of choices to meet different budget and performance needs. Among the off-road offerings, the all-new Chamber Trail shoe stands out as a lighter, more ventilated alternative to the gravity-oriented Chamber III. It features a streamlined microfiber upper with mesh panels for breathability, a stretchy knit ankle cuff to keep debris out, and a single BOA Li2 dial for secure fit adjustment. Complementing this is the Empire TR, a more affordable, casual-looking clip-in shoe with a synthetic leather upper and classic lace-up closure, designed for versatile trail riding with a slightly softer sole for comfort. For cross-country and gravel riders, Giro introduced the Stylus XC, Cadet XC, and Regime XC models, which closely mirror their road counterparts in appearance but incorporate off-road specific features such as walkable rubber outsoles and reinforced toe bumpers. The Stylus XC offers a budget-friendly option with tubular laces and a nylon/glass fibre sole, while the Cadet XC adds a BOA dial closure and a stiffer sole for enhanced performance. The Regime XC represents the top-tier choice in this category, boasting a carbon composite sole and dual BOA dials for efficient power transfer and durability on mixed terrain. On the road shoe front, Giro has refreshed its mid-range offerings with the Regime II, Cadet II, and Stylus II models, complementing the high-end Imperial series.
