German biomechanics and bike fitting specialists GebioMized have introduced more affordable versions of three of their core ergonomic saddles by offering models with chromoly (CrMo) steel rails. This marks a significant price reduction, bringing these high-performance saddles down to 99.90€, roughly half the cost of their previous titanium-railed versions. The new saddles retain the well-regarded ergonomic cutout designs and soft padding optimised for long-distance comfort, making them accessible to a broader range of cyclists across road, gravel, and mountain disciplines. The CrMo versions replace the standard carbon-reinforced nylon shells with a more economical nylon base and swap titanium rails for 7mm round chromoly steel, resulting in a modest weight increase estimated at 40 to 50 grams. The new lineup includes five saddles: two widths each of the Area (145mm and 155mm) and Sleak (135mm and 145mm), plus a single 145mm Stride Road model. All feature the brand’s characteristic pressure-relieving central cutouts and soft foam designed to enhance rider comfort without compromising performance. In addition to the more affordable CrMo models, GebioMized has expanded the options for their time trial-specific Stride TT saddle by introducing an Extra Soft foam variant. This new version caters to lighter or more sensitive riders seeking enhanced cushioning and pressure relief during intense TT or triathlon efforts. Despite the increased softness, the saddle maintains the same carbon-reinforced shell and titanium rails as the existing models and is priced at 229€, consistent with the other Stride TT options. GebioMized’s approach remains firmly rooted in data-driven design, utilising pressure mapping to optimise saddle ergonomics and rider comfort.
