Specialized has unveiled the S-Works Levo 4 X, an evolution of its popular S-Works Levo 4 electric mountain bike, designed to blend high-performance trail riding with practical cargo-carrying capabilities. The new model retains the core specifications of the Levo 4, including an 850-watt motor delivering 111Nm of torque, an 840Wh battery, and 150mm rear and 160mm front suspension travel. What distinguishes the Levo 4 X is its integrated front and rear rack system, engineered to carry up to 22 kilograms of gear without compromising the bike’s handling or ride quality. The racks are a standout feature, with the front capable of supporting 10 kilograms and the rear 12 kilograms, utilising MIK 3-pin compatibility for versatile accessory attachment. This innovative rack design suspends the load to maintain the bike’s agility and control, effectively bridging the gap between a high-performance trail bike and a practical overland or bikepacking machine. The carbon frame incorporates adjustable geometry and mixed wheel sizes—29 inches at the front and 27.5 inches at the rear—alongside integrated SWAT downtube storage for tools and essentials, underscoring the bike’s versatility for both adventure and everyday use. Specialized has also made the rack system available as an aftermarket upgrade for current Levo 4 and Levo R owners, allowing existing riders to enhance their bikes’ cargo capacity without purchasing a new model.
