eMTBs of Sea Otter 2026: Some May Look Familiar, Others Won’t

The Sea Otter Classic 2026 showcased a diverse array of electric mountain bikes (eMTBs), highlighting both familiar models with updated components and entirely new offerings. A notable trend was the increasing adoption of the Avinox motor, with brands like Commencal and Ari unveiling eMTBs equipped with this drive unit. Commencal’s Meta Power SX received a significant update, featuring the Avinox MS2 motor delivering 150Nm of torque alongside an 800Wh battery, coupled with frame geometry tweaks to enhance performance.
