Volteum raises €2.5 million to expand its fleet management platform for EV and mixed vehicle fleets

Volteum has successfully secured €2.5 million in a funding round led by Movens Capital, bringing its total investment to €3.75 million following a previous €1.25 million pre-seed round. The capital injection is earmarked for expanding the company’s fleet management platform across the UK and Central Europe. Volteum specialises in providing a unified digital solution for managing electric and mixed vehicle fleets, addressing the growing complexity faced by fleet operators during the transition from traditional combustion engines to electric vehicles. The company highlights a significant gap in existing fleet management software, which often struggles to accommodate the specific needs of electric vehicles, such as charging schedules, battery health monitoring, and reimbursement for home charging. Many operators currently rely on fragmented systems or legacy telematics designed primarily for diesel fleets, resulting in inefficiencies and operational challenges. Volteum’s platform integrates data directly from vehicle manufacturers, enabling rapid deployment without additional hardware or downtime, and offers tools to optimise fleet operations through automated reporting and anomaly detection. Volteum’s client roster includes prominent organisations such as Royal Mail, Bolt, Lex Autolease, Schneider Electric, OTP Bank, NG Bailey, and Dundee City Council, reflecting its growing influence in various sectors. The new funding will accelerate the company’s push into logistics, utilities, and car leasing and rental markets across Europe. Co-founder and CEO Zsófia Tóth emphasises that the platform is designed to support fleet managers at any stage of electrification, providing actionable insights rather than pressuring a full transition to electric vehicles. Industry feedback underscores the platform’s value in simplifying the management of mixed fleets. Matt Dale, Managing Director at TZC, notes that Volteum offers a comprehensive overview of vehicle status, charging, and maintenance, which helps reduce manual workloads and improves operational clarity.
