Lazer Introduces the New A-Line KinetiCore Carbon Full Face Helmet

Lazer has unveiled its latest full-face helmet, the A-Line KinetiCore, positioned as the premium option above its existing Cage and Chase models. Designed specifically for gravity riders tackling high-speed and demanding terrain, the helmet features a carbon fibre shell combined with Lazer’s proprietary DualCore KinetiCore impact protection system. This new technology integrates dual-density EPS foam layers to absorb both direct and rotational impacts, meeting ASTM Downhill certification standards while maintaining a relatively sleek and lightweight design. The helmet’s construction reflects extensive input from professional athletes, aiming to balance protection, comfort, and performance. The inner KinetiCore system utilises EPS foam blocks engineered to crumple on impact, while the DualCore technology layers a softer, low-density foam closer to the head to mitigate rotational forces, with a harder, high-density foam further out to absorb direct hits. Additional safety features include a double D-ring strap for secure fastening and emergency-release cheek pads to facilitate safer helmet removal after serious crashes. Comfort and practicality have also been prioritised, with a soft trim lining the lower edge of the carbon shell to protect the collarbone and enhance wearability. The helmet includes a fixed visor designed to accommodate an under-visor camera mount, as well as an integrated goggle gripper at the rear to keep eyewear stable during rough descents. Although ventilation details are limited, visible vents on the chinbar and top of the helmet suggest airflow considerations have been made to maintain rider comfort. Weighing in at just 840 grams for a medium size, the A-Line KinetiCore stands out as one of the lightest full-face helmets in its category, notably lighter than comparable models such as the Fox Rampage RS. Its streamlined, low-profile shape further distinguishes it from bulkier alternatives, offering riders a blend of protection and agility. The helmet is available in five sizes, from XS to XL, and in three colour options, retailing at approximately €500. It can be purchased through Lazer’s website and selected retailers, marking a significant addition to the brand’s gravity riding gear lineup.
