Pirelli Increases Grip on Elite Gravel Racing With Complete High Performance Line

Pirelli has completed its high-performance Cinturato Gravel tyre range with the introduction of the RH and RM race models, filling a notable gap since the initial launch of the line in autumn 2025. These top-tier tyres have undergone additional development to enhance rolling resistance and grip, utilising the SmartEVO_GR rubber compound for improved efficiency across varied terrain and conditions. The range also features ProWALL Gravel technology, which reinforces sidewalls in a tubeless-ready casing inspired by mountain bike designs, delivering durability without compromising ride quality. The full Cinturato Gravel collection now offers four distinct tread patterns tailored to different terrain preferences, from the hardpack-specialist RH to the muddier terrain-focused M model. Each pattern is available in two performance tiers: the High Performance Line for racers and the Performance Line for regular riders. Riders can further customise their choice with a variety of widths up to 55mm, pressures, and four colour options, providing versatility for diverse gravel riding styles and conditions. Endurance rider and two-time USA Cycling marathon MTB national champion Payson McElveen has been a vocal advocate of the new tyres, particularly praising the RH model for its exceptional speed and puncture resistance. McElveen highlighted the balance the tyres strike between speed, control, and durability, emphasising their adaptability across mixed terrain and race scenarios. He also noted the confidence the tyres inspire over long rides, allowing riders to conserve energy and focus on performance or enjoyment. The RM model is designed for all-round speed and stability on mixed courses, combining off-road grip with smooth rolling efficiency, while the RH model targets the fastest gravel races with a slick central band and pronounced side knobs for cornering grip. Together, these additions complete Pirelli’s Made-in-Italy gravel range, positioning it as a comprehensive option for elite racers and recreational riders alike. The expanded line underscores Pirelli’s commitment to innovation in the gravel segment, offering tailored solutions for the evolving demands of off-road cycling.
