Apidura Launches Two New Bolt-On Versions of Its Aero Top Tube Modules

Summary By: eMotoX
Apidura has introduced two new versions of its Aero Top Tube Modules designed for aerodynamic efficiency and secure attachment on racing and fast-paced rides. The Aero Bolt-On and Aero Bolt-On Long models replace traditional straps with a bolt-on system that attaches directly to the bike’s top tube using M5 hex bolts, offering a sleek, stable fit. Both modules feature a carbon stability structure and are constructed from a lightweight, durable Hexagrid nylon material with waterproof seams, ensuring resilience and shape retention during demanding rides. The standard Aero Bolt-On module provides 0.4 litres of storage and weighs 95 grams, while the longer version doubles the capacity to 0.8 litres at 120 grams. The standard model uses a magnetic closure for quick access, whereas the Long version employs a full-length waterproof zipper. Both sizes can be paired with Apidura’s Aero Frame Module to increase storage and aerodynamic gains, with wind tunnel testing confirming power savings of 4.2 watts for the Bolt-On alone and 5.2 watts when combined with the frame bag. Race performance has bolstered the credibility of the new modules, with top gravel racers achieving notable results at the recent Unbound Gravel events. Sofia Gomez-Villafane won the Unbound 200 using the Aero Bolt-On module, while Robin Gemperle claimed victory at the Unbound XL on a prototype bike fitted with the Aero Bolt-On Long. Other elite riders such as Matt Beers and Keegan Swenson also secured podium finishes, highlighting the product’s effectiveness in competitive settings. The Aero Bolt-On Top Tube Modules are available for pre-order now, with shipping expected at the end of July. Pricing is set at £68 for the standard version and £92 for the longer model. Apidura’s latest offerings represent a significant step forward in aerodynamic bikepacking gear, combining practical storage solutions with proven race-day performance.
