Kawasaki Introduces New KX450F and KX250F for 2027

Kawasaki has unveiled its revamped KX450F and KX250F models for the 2027 season, signalling a significant step forward following its recent MXGP World Championship triumph. Both machines return with the iconic “F” suffix, reflecting a comprehensive suite of enhancements aimed at maintaining Kawasaki’s competitive edge in motocross. The updates encompass new chassis designs, refined engines, and advanced electronics, underscoring the brand’s commitment to performance and rider control. The KX450F benefits from extensive development input from reigning MXGP World Champion Romain Febvre, resulting in a new frame and swingarm that extend the wheelbase for improved traction and stability. Suspension settings have been retuned to offer a more predictable ride, while the engine upgrades deliver stronger low-end torque and enhanced power across the rev range. Technological advancements include adjustable Power Modes, dual KTRC Traction Control settings, and an updated Launch Control system with rev-limit control, all accessible via handlebar switches and the RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX2 smartphone interface. Brembo brakes front and rear complete the package, promising immediate and consistent stopping power. The KX250F also sees significant refinements, including redesigned bodywork and a more efficient engine featuring a reshaped combustion chamber, longer exhaust header, and compact silencer. These changes yield a modest increase in peak power and torque, alongside a sharper throttle response. Availability for the new KX250F is set for mid-September at Kawasaki motocross dealers, with the KX450F following in mid-December.
