Kawasaki Unveils the New Two-Stroke KX327
Summary By: eMotoX
Kawasaki has officially introduced the new KX327, a two-stroke motocross bike that marks a significant advancement in the brand’s engine technology. This model is powered by a newly developed fuel-injected two-stroke single-cylinder engine, designed to deliver consistent power, immediate throttle response, and a lightweight chassis. The engine offers a linear power delivery with strong traction at low rpm, addressing the traditional peaky nature of two-stroke engines through innovative engineering.
Key to the KX327’s performance is its advanced exhaust system, which features an expansion chamber with a power valve applied to both main and secondary exhaust ports. This system, combined with sophisticated fuel and ignition mapping, continuously adjusts exhaust port timing to smooth out power delivery across the rev range. Riders can also select different power modes via a handlebar-mounted switch, tailoring the engine’s characteristics to suit various riding conditions or personal preferences. The inclusion of a dual-injection system and a balance shaft further enhances throttle response and reduces vibration.
Beyond the engine, the KX327 boasts modern ergonomics and high-quality components aimed at improving rider comfort and control. The bike features slim, ergonomically optimised bodywork, adjustable handlebars and footpegs through Kawasaki’s ERGO-FIT system, and a close-ratio five-speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch. Suspension duties are handled by a 48 mm KYB front fork and Kawasaki’s proven Uni-Trak rear setup, ensuring stability and traction on varied terrain.
Additional features include smartphone connectivity via the Rideology The App KX2 for easy tuning adjustments, quick-release side covers for fast air filter access, and premium components such as ODI Lock-On grips, a Renthal handlebar, and EXCEL wheels. The KX327 is positioned as a highly capable machine that blends cutting-edge technology with rider-focused design.
The new Kawasaki KX327 will be available from authorised Kawasaki Motocross dealers starting mid-January 2027. This launch signals Kawasaki’s commitment to revitalising two-stroke motocross bikes with modern technology, potentially influencing the future direction of off-road motorcycle development.
