Wallbox to provide charging solutions for Freenow by Lyft electric taxis in Europe

Wallbox, a leading manufacturer of electric vehicle charging solutions, has partnered with Freenow by Lyft to provide tailored charging options for electric taxi drivers and fleet operators across key European markets. The collaboration has been launched in Germany, France, the UK, Ireland, and Spain, enabling Freenow’s battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) drivers to access Wallbox products designed for both individual and fleet charging needs. This initiative aims to support the growing electrification of urban taxi services by offering practical and efficient charging infrastructure. The programme offers a range of Wallbox chargers, including the Pulsar Max for individual drivers and the Pulsar Pro and eM4 models suited to fleet and shared charging environments. Freenow drivers and fleet owners benefit from exclusive discounts on selected Wallbox products and can utilise a network of certified local installers, simplifying the transition to electric mobility. According to Lyft’s data, more than 60% of vehicles operating on the Freenow platform in over 180 cities are either fully or partially electrified, signalling a significant shift towards sustainable transport within the taxi sector.
