VMXdN 2025 overall winner Chris Pourcel confirmed for Hawkstone
Summary By: eMotoX
Christophe Pourcel, the former FIM World and AMA Supercross Champion, is confirmed to compete at the upcoming VMXdN event at Hawkstone Park, one of the most prestigious motocross races on the calendar. Known as CP377, Pourcel won the 2006 FIM World Championship and the King of Bercy title the same year, followed by consecutive East Coast Supercross championships in 2009 and 2010. His return to Hawkstone Park, a favourite track of his, is highly anticipated after his impressive performance on a stock KX 250 at the 2025 VMXdN.
Pourcel, who will be 38 at the time of the race on the August Bank Holiday weekend, is preparing to race the same 2001 KX 250 that secured three wins out of four races in the 2025 international team event. His bike will be supplied and maintained by Cristiano Bonacina from Turin. Looking ahead to 2026, Pourcel will join a new team, with further announcements expected as the event draws closer.
The VMXdN event, held at the historic Hawkstone Park Grand Prix circuit in Shropshire, is just thirteen weeks away, and excitement is building with weekly rider announcements. The four-day festival offers more than just racing, featuring a Show’N’Shine display, autograph sessions, a trade village, and family-friendly entertainment. Spectators are encouraged to secure tickets and camping passes early due to limited availability, especially for the popular VIP camping area overlooking the circuit.
With its blend of legendary riders and a nostalgic nod to the golden era of 1990s motocross, VMXdN continues to attract top talent and passionate fans alike. The event promises intense competition and a vibrant atmosphere, reinforcing its reputation as a highlight of the British motocross calendar. Fans can expect a thrilling weekend of racing and festivities at Hawkstone Park this August.
