Fox is set to expand its comprehensive mountain biking range with the introduction of Vue Performance Eyewear, scheduled for release in spring 2027. Known for offering a near-complete kit from helmets to shoes, the brand is now filling the final gap in its product line by launching sunglasses designed specifically for mountain biking. Drawing on its experience with motocross and MTB goggles, as well as its connection to Giro under the Revelyst parent company, Fox aims to deliver high-performance eyewear that complements its existing apparel and accessories. The initial preview of the Vue Performance Eyewear included two models, with the half-frame Vue Pro being the focus of early testing. This design features a top and nose bridge frame with dropped arms to avoid interference with extended coverage helmets. The glasses incorporate Soft Grip rubber tips and interchangeable nose pads for a customised fit, while the large cylindrical lens offers ample coverage and ventilation through upper corner vents. The lenses employ Vivid technology, borrowed from Giro’s goggles, enhancing contrast and visibility in low to mixed light conditions, making them particularly suited for shaded forest rides. Early impressions of the Vue Pro are positive, with the glasses providing a secure, comfortable fit and effective wind protection. The Vivid Rose lens, included with the test pair, enhances visual clarity in variable lighting, although it may not be ideal for bright, sunny days. Weighing 33 grams, the eyewear strikes a balance between durability and lightness, maintaining stability during vigorous rides without feeling cumbersome. The inclusion of a hard zippered case, spare lenses, and cleaning accessories suggests a well-thought-out package ready for production. Fox has yet to reveal full details on the complete Vue lineup, including pricing, additional lens options such as photochromic variants, and colour choices. The brand promises to provide further information as the launch date approaches. With this new eyewear range, Fox is poised to offer riders a fully integrated riding experience, reinforcing its position as a leading name in mountain biking gear.
