'We Ride In Peace' - EF Education-EasyPost unveil green extraterrestrial-themed kit for Giro d'Italia
Summary By: eMotoX
EF Education-EasyPost has unveiled a striking new kit for the 2026 Giro d’Italia, featuring a green, extraterrestrial-inspired design that prominently displays an alien face and an upside-down cow. The kit, produced by Swiss brand Assos, carries the slogan “Ride In Peace,” a playful nod to the classic sci-fi phrase “We come in peace.” This thematic approach is further emphasised in a promotional video where a cow is abducted by aliens and transformed into the green jersey, underscoring the team’s creative and unconventional style.
The choice of green is notable given the UCI’s regulations preventing team kits from matching the colours of Grand Tour leaders’ jerseys. EF Education-EasyPost’s green is distinct from the Tour de France’s points jersey, allowing the team to maintain a bold visual identity without clashing with race leaders. This continues EF Education’s tradition of eye-catching and imaginative kits at the Giro, following previous collaborations such as their partnership with the streetwear brand Palace, which featured a cartoon duck.
Both Assos and EF Education emphasise the combination of performance and individuality in the new kit. Assos CEO Edwin Navez highlighted the brand’s commitment to merging technical excellence with a unique visual language that stands out in the peloton. EF team manager Jonathan Vaughters echoed this sentiment, noting that the kit is not only about aesthetics but also about making a statement as the team aims for strong results at the Giro. The kit will be available in limited quantities, including jerseys, shorts, and long-sleeve casual wear.
With GC contender Richard Carapaz sidelined due to recent surgery, EF Education-EasyPost will likely focus on stage wins rather than overall classification at the 2026 Giro. Carapaz finished third in the previous edition after a dramatic battle on the final mountain stage. The race begins in Bulgaria on 8 May, where EF Education-EasyPost will debut their new look at the official team presentation, signalling their intentions to combine bold style with competitive ambition.
