Dutch Masters of Motocross increases prize money

Summary By: eMotoX
The Dutch Masters of Motocross has announced a significant increase in prize money for the remaining three rounds of its championship. Previously, only the top three finishers in both the 500cc and 250cc classes received monetary rewards, but the organisers have expanded this to include the top seven riders in each category. This change also applies retroactively to the first race held in Heerde, allowing riders who finished between fourth and seventh to claim their prize money at the upcoming event in Harfsen. The revised prize structure offers a tiered payout system, with the highest rewards allocated to the winners and descending amounts for those finishing further down the order. In the 500cc class, the winner now receives €1,750, while seventh place earns €100. For the 250cc category, the top prize is €1,250, with seventh place receiving €25. These adjustments aim to provide greater financial support and recognition to a broader range of competitors, reflecting the championship’s commitment to encouraging participation and competition. Beyond the standard prize money, the championship also features additional awards to incentivise performance and excitement on the track. These include the Red Bull Holeshot Award, the 24MX Red Plate Award, and the Working Class Heroes Award, each designed to reward specific achievements or standout moments during the races. These supplementary prizes add further layers of competition and prestige to the series. The next round of the Dutch Masters of Motocross is scheduled for Sunday, 3 May, in Harfsen. This event will be the first opportunity for riders to benefit from the expanded prize fund and for fans to witness the heightened competition. More details and ticket information are available on the official Dutch Masters of Motocross website.
