Schwalbe G-One RX review: Grip everywhere you want it from Schwalbe’s most aggressive gravel tyre

The Schwalbe G-One RX emerges as the brand’s most aggressive gravel tyre, specifically engineered for riders seeking maximum grip in challenging off-road conditions. Positioned within the G-One R range as the “Race Grip” option, the RX prioritises traction over speed, making it well-suited for muddy, technical terrain and steep climbs. The tyre replaces the G-One Ultrabite in Schwalbe’s gravel lineup and features a distinctive tread pattern that blends elements from the less aggressive G-One R and the race-oriented cyclocross X-One R, aiming to balance grip with reduced rolling resistance. Testing the 45mm version in muddy woodland trails, the tyre demonstrated impressive traction and cornering stability, living up to Schwalbe’s claims of excellent self-cleaning properties and grip in adverse conditions.
