The innovative B.A.R. cockpit system offers an integrated handlebar available in ten sizes with adjustable length increments as fine as 5mm, allowing riders to achieve a highly customised fit beyond the limitations of traditional stems and handlebars. Tyre choice is a critical aspect of the U.P. 2.0 Adventure’s design philosophy. OPEN dismisses 50mm tyres as a poor compromise, citing their negative impact on both aerodynamics and performance, dubbing them the “valley of death.” Instead, the bike is engineered for 45mm tyres, which balance aerodynamic efficiency and rolling resistance on ultra-wide rims. For riders seeking larger tyres, OPEN plans to release the WI.DE 2.0 model, designed for 55mm and wider tyres that prioritise comfort and speed on smoother terrain.
